Thank you for taking the time to check out my research. My name is Phillip Zada and I am currently undertaking my Ph.D at the University of New England. I completed a Bachelor of Computer Science in 2010, a Masters of Computer Science in 2012 and have been working as a business systems architect professionally since 2007. I enjoy working with the latest and greatest technologies.
I came about the idea for this research during the 2010 Australia Federal Election, I thought to myself surely there has to be a better way to cast a vote. After conducting some initial research into what was out there (internationally) I discovered Australia is beginning to drop the ball with regards to elections. We pioneered the current system, so why is the rest of the world advancing and we (Australia) are not.
With the guidance of my supervisors we have undertaken research to identify the risks in implementing a mobile voting platform for Australian elections. The primary focus is to find out what concerns the public has with such a system and how we can address any found concerns in a proven and reliable manner.
